Gemma Triay Pons, the Queen of Padel

Well, this dashing belle sitting on top of the padel rankings is Gemma Triay Pons. Buckle up because we’re going to get to know everything about this real-life wonder woman.
Women’s padel is thriving, and there are many reasons for this, most notably, the successes of women’s teams and athletes in tournaments. Additionally, participation in women’s padel sport is at an all-time high.
Gemma is currently ranked first with 15180 points on the WPT circuits. With 16 straight wins, she has the most remarkable winning streak on our list of the top padel players for 2021. In addition, she won 35 of the 41 matches she played in 2020.

Spanish-born Gemma has been a professional padel player since 2013 alongside her partner Lucia Sainz, being a world and European champion. She was awarded the title of the best player on the 2017 WTP padel circuit.
Her most notable victories in 2020 will be the Estrella Damm Menorca Master Final 2020, Cupra Las Rozas Open 2020, and Estrella Damm Alicante Open 2020. She did, however, win the Estrella Damm Barcelona Master 2020.

She is now partnered with Alejandra Salazar, creating one of the game’s most promising duos in 2021.
Every excellent padel player has a supporting squad behind them. Gemma is aided by a coach, physical trainer, physiotherapist, and sports psychologist. Naturally, all of these factors combine to drive Gemma to perform her best. At the very least, hire a padel coach.
To sum up, the women’s panel is prospering like never before, accumulating support from a broader range of audiences. Suppose the trajectory of women’s sport continues the way it is. In that case, many up-and-coming female athletes will challenge the reign of Gemma in women’s padel. This will be fun to watch because our champion is showing no signs of yielding.
